Whistler Weddings

Whistler VillageWhistler is a small community, and venues tend to be smaller than they are in the city. One advantage is that the lead-time for prime venues is shorter than in the city, typically eight months versus a year. The Whistler-Blackcomb complex contains some amazing high-end venues for weddings:

At the summit of Whistler is the Roundhouse Lodge, 1,850 metres above sea level. You can take in the spectacular views from two outdoor decks. The ski lodge can be exclusively booked and hosts up to 900 people for buffet dinner or 350 people for sit-down service. You reach the peak by a 25-minute gondola ride from the heart of Whistler.

Whistler NightAt the top of Blackcomb is Rendezvous, also accessed by gondola, with multiple rooms and patios, and amazing views. It seats 180 in the main dining room and 225 in the Couloir room.GLC, the Garibaldi Lift Company restaurant , is at the base of the mountain, above the gondola station. Their capacity is 110 indoors and 225 outdoors, on three patios beneath tents, where you can enjoy the 180-degree views. Remember, there are no minors (under 19) allowed after 7 p.m.

Dusty’s Bar and Grill offers creekside weddings on their three patios. They can accommodate up to 220 for sitting meals and 375 for standing receptions. Again, no minors are allowed after 7 p.m., but they can go to Dusty’s Backside, a venue especially for children.

Merlin’s Bar, at the base of Blackcomb, is a casual, club-like venue with wall-to-wall windows and a live music stage.

All weddings at those venues must be planned by one of the three all-in-one wedding planners:
